Tea & Tequila x Chloe Styling

“You can really learn which shades of colours are in your pallet and will really make your skin glow”

We first met the lovely Chloe, a stylist based in London, when she became a Tea & Tequila customer last year. Chloe's support for our brand has been invaluable to us and now that the world has opened up a little more, we invited her to our London Pop Up Shop to come and style our designs.

We caught up about life, art and fashion and played dress up, styling all of our new pieces for Summer

We wanted to share all of Chloe’s amazing style insights and colour theory, so here is a little Q&A we did together for you!

Hi Chloe! Could you tell us a little bit about how you developed your passion for styling?

Sure! I studied personal styling and colour analysis at the London College of Style during the first lockdown.

I have always been incredibly passionate about how what you wear can impact how you feel, especially the colours you choose.

We can relate to that! Clothing is definitely one of our main tools for expression. But, how have you been? How has lockdown been for you this past year?

Lockdown life has been bittersweet for me really. I have two young children so homeschooling and not being able to get out has had many challenges. It was however this new and quieter life that made me realise that I wanted to follow my dreams and be a stylist full time.

I lost my father at the beginning of the first lockdown which has fuelled me to make a success of my new career as I know he would be so proud of me.

We're so sorry to hear that. Thank you for sharing and for being so strong! We are so happy you decided to pursue your passion.

During your visit, you mentioned Colour Theory. Could you tell us a bit more about that?

Colour theory is understanding how different colours can evoke various emotional reactions and have a huge impact on how we feel when we are wearing them.

It is also learning which shades are warm or cool and therefore once you have had your own skin shade diagnosed by a colour specialist, you can really learn which shades of colours are in your pallet and will really make your skin glow. I am so passionate about colour which is why I love all of the Tea and Tequila products.

And we love you! We're curious - which of our products do you like most?

What I love about Tea and Tequila is how you can feel the passion that Millie and Sarah have about the clothes and jewellery that is made with so much love.

You can really feel this love in each piece.

Sustainability is at the heart of this brand and I love that the girls post pictures of the artisans at work. You can really see how each piece is individually made with care and passion.

My style has always been hugely influenced by the 70’s (my wedding dress was from this era) and all of the Tea and Tequila clothes really have that 70’s feel to them.

That's so sweet - thank you so much Chloe! One last thing... What's your ultimate Tea & Tequila outfit?

The Pink Daisy Pyramid pants and top or.... Luna Rebozo shorts and top. The yellow is my favourite, yellow is such a joyful colour that evokes feelings of happiness, vitality, inspiration, warmth and optimism. It can also evoke creativity and emotional strength. Definitely a colour to be worn at the moment when there is so much uncertainty in the world.

Thank you so much Chloe for your time - and for being the angel that you are. Find Chloe on her Instagram (@chloefynnstyling) to find effortless wardrobe inspiration to improve self love and dress with confidence.
