Jewellery Care

Each gold piece is crafted with heavy 18k gold plating (4 microns) - a thicker-than-standard layer that gives each design a rich colour and long-lasting finish. Our silver designs are dipped in a sterling silver bath to achieve a bright, polished finish. As all plated jewellery has a delicate surface layer, a little extra care will help preserve its colour and shine for longer.

Everyday Care: 

To maintain the finish of your pieces, avoid prolonged exposure to water, including showering, swimming, and exercising. Moisture and heat can gradually affect the plating over time.

Try to limit contact with perfume, suncream, lotions, and other cosmetics, as these can cause fading or discolouration. We recommend applying these products before putting on your jewellery.

Gold and silver-plated pieces can be gently cleaned using a soft cloth and mild dish soap. Always dry thoroughly and handle with care to protect the surface.

Store items separately to prevent scratching and tangling. We recommend keeping your jewellery in the pouches provided, along with the anti-tarnish strip inside. This helps reduce exposure to air and moisture, preventing tarnishing of both gold and silver plating and keeping your pieces looking their best.

Gemstone and Pearl Care: 

Gemstones vary in hardness, and many coloured stones can fade or change over time if exposed to natural elements or certain chemicals for long periods. Salt water, direct sunlight, perspiration, chlorine, bleach, and cosmetics can all affect their appearance.

To keep gemstones looking vibrant, avoid extended exposure to these elements and store pieces carefully when not in use.

Pearls are naturally delicate and require gentle handling. After wearing, lightly wipe them with a soft cloth to remove oils or residue from daily wear. For more noticeable marks, mix lukewarm water with a small amount of mild dish soap and carefully wipe the pearls with a soft cloth. Avoid soaking, and always allow them to dry fully before storing.
